Mace of Molag Bal
The Mace of Molag Bal, also known as the Vampire’s Mace, is the Daedric artifact of Molag Bal. It deals 25 damage to Magicka and Stamina, as well as casting Soul Trap for 3 seconds. It is obtained during “The House of Horrors” when Molag Bal transforms it from the Rusty Mace he gave you earlier.
“The House of Horrors” starts when Vigilant Tyranus talks to you outside The Abandoned House in Markarth. He will ask you to help him find out what is in the house. Go inside with him and make your way through the house. You will hear a voice, belonging to Molag Bal, telling you to kill him. Vigilant will try to kill you in fear for his own life. Molag Bal will enjoy the fight and tell you to go further down for your reward. As you come up to his alter and try to grab the rusty mace, he will trap you in spikes. He will tell you how Boethiah, Molag’s rival, sent one of his priests to desecrate his alter and ask you to save the priest and bring him back to perform his rite one last time and force him to surrender his soul to Molag Bal.
The priest, called Logrolf the Willful, is held prisoner at 1 of 6 possible locations, all controlled by the forsworn. Once you find him, you must convince him to come with you and then follow you down to the alter to be trapped. Molag will have a conversation with Logrolf, and then you must beat him with the axe until he dies. Molag will resurrect him and ask if he submits. He will and then you must kill him again and Molag Bal will transform the Rusty Mace into his.
