Spellbreaker
Spellbreaker is one of the oldest artifacts in existence, and is the Artifact of the Daedric Prince Peryite. It is a shield that not only protects against normal attacks but also up to 50 points of Magica. It is obtained as a reward for completing the quest “The Only Cure.”
After level 10, an Afflicted Refugee might find you. If you ask him what is wrong, he will respond saying that he suffers from the plague and would die without the protection of Peryite and direct you to Kesh at the Shrine of Peryite. Kesh needs a Flawless ruby, a Deathbell, Vampire Dust, and a Silver Ingot to make the incense that will allow you to speak with Peryite. Once you obtain all the materials and inhale the Incense, your surroundings will change and Peryite will request you kill Orchendor, one of his followers that has betrayed him. To find him, you will have to make your way through Bthardmz, an ancient Dwemer ruin. He will be in the last room. Kill him and loot the elevator key off his body. Then return to the Shrine where Kesh will offer you to breathe in more incense. Breathe it in and you will talk to Peryite again. He will express his happiness and reward you with Spellbreaker.
