Dawnbreaker
Dawnbreaker is the Daedric artifact of the Prince Meridia. She created it because of her terrible hatred of all undead. It deals 10 fire damage with each strike, sets fire to, and when facing undead, has a chance to create an explosion that would set all undead in the blast radius on fire and make them flee. It is obtained after clearing her temple of all undead and the necromancer, Malkoran, for the quest “The Break of Dawn.”
You start “The Break of Dawn” by finding The Statue of Meridia or Meridia’s Beacon. The next step is to bring the Beacon to her Statue. If you already have it, you simply have to take it to the Statue. If not, you must follow the marker on your map and retrieve it first. At her Statue, Meridia will order you to place the Beacon in the pedestal. A beam of light will shoot out and your goal will be to guide this light through Meridia’s temple. It will clear away the black fog and release the undead that were hiding in it. You must defeat these and eventually awaken Malkoran and defeat him. Dawnbreaker can be taken from a pedestal. Meridia will transport you above Skyrim, thank you, and tell you to take Dawnbreaker and defeat the undead in her name.
